I spent several weeks researching this product. All the information is from America, of course, which didn’t really fill me with confidence.
The principle concept of how the hitch worked seemed ideal, particularly for our setup. Anyway, I found this dealer was an Australian seller with no need to try and convert dollars etc.
To the Hitch: it is heavy and probably adds 30kgs to the rear weight of the car, but I watched it working while my wife drove our car and caravan over some uneven ground and I could see how it worked … just like the videos. When driving the car and caravan myself, the towing feels a lot smoother and possibly more stable, if that is possible. Downsides? Only that I need to remove the hitch from the car to fit the car in the garage … but that’s not a big deal, to me.
Why did I outlay the amount of money that it costs? 1. Suncoast Caravan were cheaper than other sellers, and 2. Because our caravan is 21 years old and I want to protect it as much as possible.
So far, very happy with my decision.
